Short Visits
We are delighted to offer short clinical visits and work experience placements at USAIS. Some visitors find the map and directions below useful.

Clinical visits
Clinical visits are aimed at Audiologists working or training in the NHS. We are also able to arrange clinical visits for professionals working with, or who are about to work with, USAIS patients (typically speech and language therapists, teachers of the deaf, medics and students). We offer 1 day of observations free of charge.
During the visits there may be the opportunity to observe the following:
- Cochlear implant assessment
- Cochlear implant tuning appointments
- Rehabilitation appointments
- Medical appointments
It is unlikely that a single visit will include all these appointment types due to the time constraints, but we will endeavor to meet learning outcomes where possible.
For more information about the services we offer please look at our information leaflets. You may also find the documents below useful:

Work experience
Work experience placements are available for 1 – 3 days and are open to students aged 16 years or older. There may be the possibility to observe patient clinics and also undertake administrative duties as part of the placement.
If you would be interested in applying for a clinical visit or work experience placement please complete the application below. All professionals and work experience students will be required to sign our Professional Conduct Policy to ensure patient confidentiality.
*Please give 3 date options for when you would be available to visit. Due to the scheduling of our clinic diary, we may not be able to confirm dates until one month prior to your projected visit.
