Music-based Rehabilitation for Cochlear Implant patients
This upcoming Hearpeers webinar is designed as a helpful follow-up resource for those interested in learning how music can support rehabilitation, improve music perception, and enhance appreciation for cochlear implant patients. The session will include practical hints and tips, available resources, and a variety of music activities.
The session will explore the role of music in rehabilitation and explain why it plays a significant part in recovery. She will highlight how music can positively impact various aspects of life, including physical health, emotional well-being, and communication skills.
MaryKay will invite attendees to participate in several music activities. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about music-based rehabilitation. MaryKay is a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with over 30 years of experience in the field of hearing loss. She has presented internationally on aural rehabilitation and has also mentored numerous students and professionals.
