Is your N8 processor able to pair with your smartphone?

The N8 is the latest and most advanced over-the-ear processor from Cochlear.  It has the latest technology and should be able to pair with other devices, such as Smartphones, mini mics, the CR310 remote control and even your doorbell via Bluetooth.

Cochlear have advised USAIS of an issue they have discovered with the pairing of some of the latest N8 processors.  The affected processors work well as hearing devices, but they won’t allow Bluetooth paring.

The issue with these processors can be resolved in two ways:

  1. Arrange an appointment to visit your clinic, to have the processor reset.
  2. Obtain a replacement processor from Cochlear Care.

If you are unable to pair your N8 processor to a Smartphone or Accessory, please contact Cochlear Care or the Auditory Implant Centre (AIS).
