Face coverings for patients
One of our patients and staff members have been sewing face coverings which will help with lipreading. Staff are also crocheting ear savers so the elastic on the masks doesn’t knock off any hearing devices behind the ear.
These are NOT medical masks but can be used for personal use on transport, shops etc. They are washable at 60 degrees.
We will have these available for patients in reception – please feel free to take what you need. A donation Meningitis Now will be greatly appreciated (but not obligatory).
You can buy products off Amazon to prevent fogging of the plastic part, or even easier, just smear some dry soap before use and wipe it off.
