Deaf Education summer school & secondary transition weekend

Please find below details of three forthcoming events for families with a deaf child which might be of interest to parents of deaf children and / or colleagues who work with them. The events will each offer opportunities for families to talk to professionals and young deaf people as well as meet other families and listen to talks given by our team of teachers of the deaf.  As a charity, Deaf Education offer these at greatly reduced prices and concessionary rates are available.

1. A secondary school transition weekend for parents of deaf children in years 4,5,6 and 7 and their families offering professional information and advice on making the leap from primary to secondary school.

2. A summer school for parents of pre-school aged deaf children and their families, offering information and advice for parents of a deaf pre-schooler from professionals

Thursday 23 July – Sunday 26 July 2015 in Worcester

3. A summer school for parents of primary school aged deaf children and their families. This event will be held the same weekend as the summer school for pre-schoolers but the advice from our professionals is tailored to parents of primary school aged deaf children and their families.
