Auditory Implant Service

Remote Care Research Project

Dr Helen Cullington, Principal Clinical Scientist (pictured) is currently funded by The Health Foundation to deliver a project investigating the impact of telemedicine and remote care for cochlear implant patients. A group of 30 people with cochlear implants are using a personalised online support package for six months which will monitor their hearing and allow them to do their own rehabilitation and device care within the comfort of their own home; 30 other people with cochlear implants are in a control group.

In collaboration with That’s Solent TV, Helen has created a video to give some more information on the project.
