This course is aimed at professionals who have experience of working with a child with a cochlear implant (e.g. Teachers of the Deaf and Speech and Language Therapists) but who would like to update or expand their knowledge. Ideally delegates will have attended ‘The Basics’ course at an earlier time.
Topics will include:
–A more indepth look at how implants work
–Tuning and mapping
–Current research and the future for CI’s
–The importance of listening skills
